Neoprene rubber strips were used for joint isolation and building sound insulation. CALORPYRO® Neoprene Rubber was used as a bearing strip to reduce noise between structural timber flooring panels and steel beams in the construction of a multi-story building.

The premium Neoprene High Grade Rubber had superior physical properties, meaning it was ideal for this application. Its high load bearing capacity ensured that not only did the timber flooring panels withstand traffic loads, but also any weight put onto the construction site while in use.

The compressibility and compression set properties of Neoprene High Grade weather strip allowed the absorption of variances in the rigid steel beam structure, ensuring maximum surface contact area with timber flooring. This effectively reduced movement between building materials and potential for noise transmission.
